Considering the need to prepare researchers to communicate scientific knowledge in Psychology, this text reports and categorizes some common problems regarding citations found in a restrict pool of dissertations, thesis, published papers and books published between 2004 and Vitamin D 2007.Two researchers identified potential problems with complete agreement on the definition and the examples for each one of the eight categories produced by the analysis labeled as: unnecessary, showcase, mistaken figure-ground, out-of-time, sprayed, superimposed and masked.The current report focuses on the need for more caution with the use of citations in scientific texts as a way to improve 4 PC Table with Bench the identification and appreciation of the studies mentioned and to avoid inaccuracy regarding the original ideas of the quoted authors.
